This nice #Magnavox presented having been "serviced." Unfortunately somebody took it apart further than necessary and put the tonearm assembly back together wrong. While it actually worked for 12 inch and 10 inch records, it wouldn't play a 7 inch record automatically, deciding there were none to be played and shutting itself off. That's a pretty easy fix. From our friend Bill, this #Magnavox came in noisy. The culprit was the idler. On these they are either good and virtually like new (usually), or they have turned hard and crusty. While they will turn the platter, they will eventually start dropping chunks out of their edges which will them even noisier, affect record play, and can even stop the platter mid rotation. Replaced! Magnavox motors also need to be disassembled to properly lubricate their motor bearings. You can get a little bit on the
