You could write a book (and many have) that would burst at the seams with the amount of interesting stories, myths and history surrounding Edinburgh Castle. One short one is that during the Second World War, the Crown of Scotland was hidden from the enemy in David’s Tower – it was buried inside a medieval latrine!
