Helleborus foetidus is another early blooming species, but it is quite distinct in its growth habit. This is a stemmed hellebore that produces an above ground stalk up to 3 feet tall draped in attractive evergreen foliage. This particular cultivar was introduced by us in 2007 in honor of the plantsman Tom Krenitsky, who shared it with us several years prior.
