Developing life skills through sports

It almost sounds too simple: the number one reason kids stop playing sports is because it stops being fun. Somewhere between age 11-13, we start to tell kids they *have* to try to be the best or compete at the highest level. For many kids, that ramp up in competitiveness takes away all the joy from the game. Others thrive as the competitiveness increases. There’s no one-size-fits-all system for kids.
