One of the most important parts of building this race engine will be getting the bores straight and round with the proper surface finish in order seal up our cylinders and having the ability to do this in house is awesome! #techtuesday A little update and UNIQUE part of our 440ci Motown LS Hybrid race engine. To blend the Small Block Chevy and LS platforms the block is cast in a different way to allow the water to flow like a LS engine and opposite a convention SBC. This puts the incoming cooler water through the cylinder heads first and adds a few more plumbing challenges but the improved cooling design is a huge benefit!
