The trumpeter swan’s 30-year comeback story continues in 2020 as Wisconsin partners with other states to better understand its migration and habitat. Wisconsin DNR, Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) and partners in other western Great Lakes states and Ontario, Canada corralled trumpeter swans this summer and outfitted dozens of them with GPS transmitters.
