A study in The New England Journal of Medicine showed that after 12 weeks, 33 people with fibromyalgia (all over body pain) practiced tai chi for 1hr twice weekly had clinically important improvements in their symptoms. Another group of 33 participants with fibromyalgia doing stretching and wellness classes didn’t show the same improvements.
