Connie Francis wasn’t Jewish, but the Italian-American icon of the ’50s and ’60s had deep roots in Jewish culture from growing up in Newark, NJ. She once joked she knew more Yiddish than “any of the bar mitzvah boys I’ve ever dated.” Here she sings the famous "Hava Nagila".
