While at Mammoth leave the park and go into Gardiner for a burger at Helen's. This old fashioned dive has the biggest and best burgers in the area. There is so much to do and see in Yellowstone.

You didn't mention what time of the year you were thinking of going. It it's not during the winter have you considered buy a cheap tent and camping on the way there and back?

Nov 26, 2013 · That gives us 6 days of driving, 1 day for Rushmore, and 4 days at Yellowstone. But I could push it to 12 or 13 days if I needed to to get the most of the trip. For example, looks like we could divide it into 3 days. About 8 hours into Wisconsin, another 8 hours to Rushmore, then 8 more to Yellowstone.

Apr 19, 2015 · Returning via the Grand Canyon would mean a full 5 days for the trip home from Yellowstone, and that means 9 of your 14 days would be taken up driving. Spend 3 days at Yellowstone, which is close to a minimum to see all of the park's main highlights, a day in Cody, and a day at the Grand Canyon, and your time would be completely filled.
