Without any request, I am sharing my review of the Joan Jett concert in Walnut Creek, April 2023. It was an amazing experience! I had seen her on tour last year with Poison, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard, and that was good, but this concert was on a whole different level.

I'm Joan Jett. I started in a band called The Runaways, we were all girls and at the time it was very pioneering as there weren't really any girl bands around, especially teenagers. After that experience, I moved on to the band of the Blackhearts, which was an all guy band except for me because I did not want comparisons to the Runaways.

Jun 4, 2023 · Actually, 3 of the 4 original members of The Runaways were not straight (Joan Jett, Cherie Curie and Sandy West) and there is even a funny story about the only straight member, Lita Ford, who left the band for a few weeks before returning, because she realised that all the other members date girls and she got scared, haha!
