Wendy Williams has called her $18,000 (£14,316) hospital unit ‘suffocating’ after speaking out against her guardianship. The former TV personality, 60, declared how much she wants to ‘get out’ of the assisted living facility and intends to end her guardianship.

According to the facility employee, the former daytime talk show host showed no signs of dementia or memory loss: "Wendy doesn't have good and bad days. She's the same all the time. You can tell her something today, and 2 weeks later, she'll remember it. Her memory is fine."

Wendy Williams was transferred to the memory unit of her assisted living facility after allegedly getting drunk at the facility’s restaurant, according to a new report. The beloved talk show host’s dementia diagnosis, however, does not appear to have played a part in the move, TMZ reported on Tuesday.

"I'm ready to get out of here," she said of the facility. "I'm ready to get out and get out of the guardianship. It's suffocating, it's very lonely"

Wendy Williams, under court-appointed guardianship since May 2022, expressed her desire to leave both the facility and her legal guardianship.
