Following the vote to oust Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, the country’s top court issued an injunction barring the government from appointing a new attorney general until further instructions. The court previously told the government that the procedure it chose to fire Baharav-Miara, the country’s top jurist, was inappropriate.
