CBS recently announced the cancellation of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert after a decades-long run. Amid this, fans have been concerned about the fate of another popular show. It is none other than The Daily Show by Jon Stewart.

With this week’s FCC approval, the merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media is expected to be completed in the coming weeks at a value of $8 billion. The question for the new company is whether the psychic cost is much higher.

Johnson is a stand up comedian in addition to being a former writer and performer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He joined The Daily Show as a writer in 2017, racking up multiple Emmy nominations as part of the show’s writing staff.
