Authorities on Tuesday once again asked members of the public for help identifying the suspected gunman who killed two Brown University students in a classroom over the weekend, as the manhunt stretched past 72 hours and residents remained on edge.

The shooting on Saturday left two students dead and nine wounded. Police are looking for a person of interest wanted in connection with the attack.
Brown University announced Tuesday that it had canceled its men’s basketball game against USC on Sunday in Los Angeles. Sunday’s women’s basketball game against Monmouth has also been canceled. The decision comes in the wake of a shooting on the Brown campus Saturday morning in Providence.
Professor Rachel Friedberg confirmed to other media outlets that the attack occurred during a review session for her principles of economics class. A Brown student on TikTok explained that the shots were fired in Room 166, one of the large auditorium-style lecture halls on the first floor of the seven-floor Barus & Holley building at 184 Hope St.
