Legendary Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio has been named to the College Football Playoff Selection Committee

Mark Dantonio is coming out of a retirement again. Sort of. The winningest coach in Michigan State history on Tuesday was announced one of five new members of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

The committee is in charge of ranking the teams to set them into the 12-team postseason bracket that debuted last season.

Mark Dantonio became a legend in the state of Michigan because of what he was able to do in his 13 seasons coaching the Michigan State Spartans.

Former Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio has been named to the CFP selection committee, along with Maryland AD Damon Evans, former ESPN writer Ivan Maisel, MTSU AD Chris Massaro and former Ole Miss TE Wesley Walls.

Other new members of the 13-person committee will be Mark Dantonio, Damon Evans, Chris Massaro, Wesley Walls and sports writers Ivan Maisel and Steve Wieberg.
