Police responded to the crash in the northbound lanes of I-35W near Risinger Road in Fort Worth, officials say.

A portion of I-35W in Fort Worth is shut down as investigators clear a crash scene. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the crash could be fatal. At around 10 a.m., I-35W was backed up for several miles.

A woman who was injured in the wreck died at a hospital, police say. Northbound lanes of I-35W at Garden Acres have reopened.
