Tuesday as a single-player, third-person action-adventure exclusive to the Sony (SONY) PlayStation 5. Insomniac Games developed it for Sony Interactive Entertainment in collaboration with Marvel Games.
The combat is well thought out and fits the character, but the way it’s deployed is dated. The game often feels like all gas and no brakes, with just one note as Wolverine and his main sidekick Jean Grey go from one crisis to the next. In the whirlwind of action, it leaves little room for thoughtful character development beyond the cutscenes.
Marvel’s Wolverine is the next action-adventure title from Insomniac Games, and features Logan rejoining Team X in a bid to protect mutants. There’s plenty of combat-focused action, but there are also things you might not know before you play.
One of the core topics of the Wolverine debate is actor Liam McIntyre, who plays the game's titular character. Some fans don't believe he bears a close enough resemblance to the iconic mutant, while others feel that Insomniac's face scans and art style didn't do his visage justice.
