President Donald Trump has sent the Marines to Los Angeles in an effort to quash anti-ICE protests that have ravaged parts of the city on Tuesday.

Protests over federal immigration enforcement raids and President Trump's mobilization of the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles continue to spread nationwide.

Last weekend, Trump invoked a rarely used law to federalize the National Guard over the objection of Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom and local officials, which further ignited the response.
