President Donald Trump's administration said on Tuesday it was considering selling some of the U.S. government's most iconic properties, including the headquarters of the Department of Justice, the FBI and the building that once housed Trump's luxury hotel.

Hours after releasing a list of more than 440 federal buildings — including 10 in Oregon — it had identified to close or sell, the Trump administration yanked more than 100 buildings from the list, then deleted it entirely.

The Trump administration has placed some of the country’s most iconic and well-known federal buildings on the potential chopping block, including them on a list of more than 400 properties deemed “not core to government operations” and candidates for “disposal.
