Mayor Brandon Johnson visited the Gage Park neighborhood to assess the damage caused by severe flooding, which has affected over 5,600 residents, and is urging the city to invest in a backflow valve system to prevent future flooding.

More than 5,000 residents are calling out for help. But as Megan De Mar reports, the city said the only way they can successfully tackle the mess is with state and federal funding.
