Waymo will start offering robotaxi rides to people in its "Waymo One" early rider program in Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, and "parts of Sunnyvale"

With Waymo up to 200,000/week, total rides are now well over a million a month. The robotaxi is here. But people mistake it for Uber because it looks like that today.

Waymo is logging more than 200,000 paid robotaxi rides every week, according to Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, who shared the stat about the tech giant's subsidiary on X. Waymo commercially operates robotaxis in Los Angeles,

The company is operating in a 27 square-mile service area that includes Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos, and parts of Sunnyvale.
