In their second major trade in four months, the Washington Commanders agreed to acquire former all-pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers for a 2025 fifth-round draft pick, two people with knowledge of the deal said Saturday night.

During Daniels' rookie year, tight end Zach Ertz and wide receiver Terry McLaurin played a key role in his success. Ertz was one of his favorite targets last season, as the tight end recorded 654 yards and seven touchdowns on 66 receptions. One score included the game-winner against the Atlanta Falcons, which handed the Commanders a playoff berth.
