Governor Murphy signs law to crack down on e-bike regulations across New Jersey
NEW JERSEY - New Jersey has enacted some of the toughest e-bike safety rules in the country after a series of crashes, including two fatal ones, according to a press release from Gov. Phil Murphy’s office. The new law expands regulations to cover all types of e-bikes, requiring riders to have a license, register their bikes, and carry insurance.
The Garden State’s sportsbooks hauled in $116.3 million in gross revenue, ending the year with $1.18 billion in profits.
National bike groups rally riders to lobby Gov. Murphy not to sign what they call the worst e-bike legislation in the country in to law.
