"T.J. Watt's only got one year left on his deal and I feel like I would just want to make sure the Steelers are aware he only has one year left on his deal and if they don't want
One of the biggest decisions the Pittsburgh Steelers front office will need to make this offseason concerns a contract extension for outside linebacker T.J. Watt. Watt is the heart and soul of the Steelers defense and one of the best all-around edge defenders in the NFL.

T.J. Watt officially declared for the 2017 NFL draft following his outstanding 2016 collegiate football season at the University of Wisconsin. Being among the best defensive players in his draft class, he was invited to the NFL Scouting Combine and participated in all of the drills.
While the Pittsburgh Steelers have plenty of other fish to fry, extending T.J. Watt still appears to be on the forefront of their minds. In his latest Steelers chat, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac wrote that there was a "good chance" Watt would agree to a new deal with the team before the start of the new league year on March 12.
This is a big offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers. After ending the 2024 season with five straight losses, the Steelers are hoping to make the necessary moves this offseason to avoid a similar fate in 2025.
