According to a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Minnesota was able to negotiate and agree to a three-year, $66 million contract to bring the breakout cornerback back.

The entire Minnesota Vikings cornerback group was set to hit the open market when the new league year opened its early tampering period on Monday. The team had re-signed Theo Jackson before the opening and then signed Isaiah Rodgers from the Eagles early on in the day.

Darnold landed the biggest payday of his career, getting a $100 million deal from Seattle, while the Vikings ensured they will have a new starting quarterback for the third consecutive season.
