A week after catastrophic floods tore across the Texas Hill Country, authorities and volunteers on the ground Friday are searching for over 160 missing people as residents in hard-hit areas mourn the dead. While it's not certain that Trump will give a speech, he's scheduled to appear in Kerrville, Texas, at 11:30 a.m. CT.

Kerrville residents who turned out in force Friday to welcome President Donald Trump said his visit brought hope and comfort — and marked an important step in the town’s long road to healing and rebuilding.

While he’s been in communities after hurricanes and tornadoes, President Trump said the devastation he saw after an aerial tour of the flood-ravaged Texas Hill Country on Friday was different.

Robert Herrera, 52, was accused of making online threats to the president during his visit to Texas on Friday. In one post on Facebook authorities said Herrera posted a picture of an assault rifle, along with a threat to 'come after' the president.

The Kerrville Police Department give the latest updates on the Texas Hill Country floods as of 10 a.m. July 10.

"FEMA has been really headed by some very good people,” Trump said during a roundtable with local officials, suggesting his administration turned the agency around after sharply criticizing the Biden administration-led FEMA response to flooding in North Carolina in late 2024.
