Padres Reacts Survey Results: Fans would like to see reunion between Michael King, San Diego
The San Diego Padres have been part of various trade rumors since the MLB Winter Meetings. There has not been nearly as much conversation or coverage about their free-agent targets, if there are any.
As of now, the Padres are reportedly listening to trade offers on a few of their star players, including closer Mason Miller and starter Nick Pivetta. But the Padres could also look to add some talent at the big league level, including a talented outfielder.
David Stearns and Co. have inquired about Padres flamethrower Mason Miller, according to The Post’s Jon Heyman . The Mets are one of “many teams,” per Heyman, looking at trading for Miller. Heyman added that the Padres love Miller “as much as anyone and would need to be overwhelmed” in a potential deal.
Five months after giving up a huge cache of players to acquire Mason Miller, the San Diego Padres are at least fielding interest in their star closer.
The New York Mets need an outfielder and could acquire one in a trade with the San Diego Padres by parting with David Peterson.
