Luis Suarez is on the verge of signing a new contract to remain at Inter Miami, according to multiple reports.
Inter Miami already announced the signing of Sergio Reguilon, who is set to be the replacement for Jordi Alba. The club also announced that Rodrigo De Paul is a permanent signing for the MLS Champions and will occupy the second Designated Player in the roster.
Inter Miami is finalizing a deal to re-sign Luis Suárez for the 2026 season, sources briefed on the deal have told The Athletic. Suárez, who turns 39 in January, returns for another year.

Inter Miami will have one Designated Player spot to fill heading into 2026, a player who counts $743,750 against the MLS salary cap, as long as they stick to their current roster model of three DPs and three U22 Initiative players.
