Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-PA) former chief of staff said he wasn’t surprised by the senator’s bombshell cameo at the Republican National Committee’s first-ever midterm convention, characterizing his former boss as attention-seeking.

Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) said Wednesday that fellow Pennsylvanian Sen. John Fetterman (D) was “nowhere to be found” in his home state. In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Deluzio commented on the growing tension between Fetterman and his constituents in the Keystone State.

The Pennsylvania senator responded to some of the allegations detailed in a Wall Street Journal report last week in new comments to CNN.
