The Los Angeles Chargers placed an unrestricted free agent tender on J.K. Dobbins in April, creating an unconventional offseason for the running back. After receiving that tender, Dobbins had until training camp to strike a deal with another club.

New Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins didn't hold back when discussing his former team. After just one season with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, the NFL veteran signed a one-year, $5.24 million deal with the Denver Broncos.

Like Dobbins, the Red Sox as a whole are trending in the right direction. Saturday’s win brought them back to .500 and back in the mix in the AL East. Once all of Boston’s pitchers are healthy, having Dobbins in the organization as a reliable extra arm wherever Cora needs him will be handy late in the season.

Dobbins, 26, received an unrestricted free agent tender from the Los Angeles Chargers in April, but he was still allowed to negotiate with other clubs leading up to training camp. After visiting the Broncos' facility last week, he returned to Denver this week to finalize a deal.
