When asked if President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believed President Donald Trump is on Ukraine’s side, Zelenskyy told reporters at the Oval Office that he believed the U.S. is on Ukraine’s side.

Donald Trump has not declared military support for Ukraine, highlighting a resources agreement as a security guarantee. However, he did comment on relations with Putin in a conversation with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The Ukrainian leader came to Washington to prevent Trump from abandoning Kyiv in favor of Moscow three years into Russia’s war on his country but was met with vocal anger from the American president.
