A massive fire burns in Punta Zicatela, the famed “Mexican Pipeline,” destroying nearly all local businesses.

Tragedy in Zicatela, as an unidentified 29-year-old male from Colorado died amidst heavy waves at the infamous Mexican surf spot.

According to preliminary reports from authorities, the fire started around 1:15 a.m. in the restaurant area located on Avenida del Morro, along the beach strip of Punta Zicatela, Oaxaca.
