The National Weather Service has issued the first ever Heat Advisory for Alaska in the Fairbanks area to prepare for the warmer than normal temperatures expected over the next few days.

With temperatures forecast to soar as high as 89 degrees in Interior Alaska, the National Weather Service has issued its first-ever heat advisories for the state.
