Mariners recall righty Alex Hoppe from Triple-A Tacoma, designate Casey Legumina for assignment
SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Mariners recalled right-hander Alex Hoppe from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday and designated right-hander Casey Legumina for assignment. Hoppe, 27, has yet to appear in a major league game.
On Tuesday night, the Seattle Mariners will play the second game of their series with the Athletics (at home). They are coming off a 6-4 loss (on Monday).
Rob Refsnyder’s first hit as a Mariner came in loud fashion, giving Seattle a timely lift during his difficult start.
