FLINT TOWNSHIP, Michigan — It's a business 40 years in the making. After decades of making cakes out of her home for family and friends, Carol Lillieburg opened her first store about four months ago.

When Carol Hildebrand moved to Colorado Springs in 1990 she swore she would never bake another cake. Luckily for us, she didn't stick with her original notion of taking a job in a dental office.
