A JetBlue Airways pilot said he narrowly avoided a "midair collision" with a U.S. military aircraft that entered his flight path.

A small plane crashed near Tracy on Monday afternoon, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office. Crews responded to the crash just before 3:30 p.m. near South Chrisman and West Linne roads. The sheriff's office said the plane had a single occupant. The South San Joaquin County Fire Authority said the pilot had only minor injuries.
