A winter storm watch will in effect Saturday, Dec. 13 through Sunday morning, Dec. 14, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. There is potential for heavy snow accumulation, with 3 to 4 inches predicted for Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Amounts in the 4 to 6 inch range are projected north of the city.

At 11:14 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from Saturday 7 p.m. until Sunday 1 p.m. for York and Lancaster counties.

Public Works officials remind that once the snow begins to fall, it's advised drivers stay off the roads if they can and if you have to drive, be sure to give plow truck drivers plenty of space on the road.
