Former University of South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Steve Taneyhill passed away in hospice care after a prolonged cancer battle on December 15. He was 52.

Former South Carolina Gamecocks star quarterback Steve Taneyhill, a native of Altoona, Pa., has died. He was 52 years old. South Carolina announced Taneyhill’s death Monday morning. He had reportedly been battling cancer.
