Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown has been traded to the Seattle Storm, both teams announced on Friday. The Storm acquired Brown and the Sparks’ 2025 third-round draft pick in exchange for the Storm’s 2025 and 2027 second-round picks — a move that will benefit them in the short term and seemingly reflects Los Angeles’s desire to move forward with other guards on the roster.

SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Storm says they’ve signed veteran guard Erica Wheeler to the team. Wheeler spent the last two seasons with the Indiana Fever, playing an average of 20.4 minutes per game. In 2023 and 2024, she put up an average of 8.5 points, 3.4 assists, and shot 40.4% from the field.

Gorham native Mackenzie Holmes has officially signed her first WNBA contract. Holmes was drafted by the Seattle Storm in the 2024 WNBA Draft, but she missed all of last season with a knee injury. The team announced the contract signing late Wednesday night.

Mackenzie Holmes, Indiana’s all-time leading scorer and a current graduate manager with the program, has officially signed her rookie contract with the Seattle Storm, per an official release. Holmes was drafted by the Storm with the 26th overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft but missed the entirety of the following season after undergoing a procedure on her knee.
