The search for a gunman in the deadly Brown University shooting remains ongoing after officials in Providence, Rhode Island, announced late Sunday that a detained person of interest would be released from custody.
With the release of the person who had initially been detained in connection with the Brown University shooting, the University of Rhode Island announced on the morning of Monday, Dec. 15, that there will be no in-person exams on campus, as the hunt for the Brown shooter is still ongoing.
A suspect was in custody Sunday, the day after two people were killed and nine others injured during an attack on the Rhode Island campus.
