Folks, instead of doing an individual post for each player that opts out of the Pinstripe Bowl, we’ll be updating this post instead. As of this writing on Wednesday, December 10th at 10 p.m. EST, just two Nittany Lions have opted out.

Here's a quick rundown on when and where the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl will be played. All matchups will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 7. All times Eastern and accurate as of Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 7:34 p.m. Date: Saturday, Dec. 27 at 12 p.m.

Clemson and Penn State have accepted invitations to play in the 2025 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 27, with kickoff scheduled for noon ET on ABC.

ESPN and 247Sports both considered Barnes a three-star recruit as an athlete from Bogart, Ga. He immediately burst onto the scene in 2023 and became the first Clemson player to record multiple forced fumbles and multiple interceptions while playing for Swinney, who became Clemson’s coach in 2008.

Terry Smith’s tenure as the Nittany Lions’ interim coach has been “the greatest seven weeks of my coaching career,” and he hopes it can end with a victory over Clemson in the Dec. 27 Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.
