The SEC's top four seeds lived up to the hype in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament on Friday at Bridgestone Arena as each advanced to create a semifinal slugfest on Saturday between squads that can all be regarded as national championship contenders.

The Auburn Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels will meet for the third time on Friday when they play in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

Auburn has been one of the consensus top teams in men's college basketball nearly the entire season, and head coach Bruce Pearl wants everyone to know that his group isn't to be messed with. The latest came on Friday when the No. 8 seed Rebels (22-11) fell 62-57 to the No. 1 seed Tigers (28-4) in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament at Bridgestone Arena. Afterward, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said he believes Ole Miss is capable of making a run when the NCAA tournament begins next week.
