Sajid Akram, one of the Sydney Bondi Beach shooters, migrated from Hyderabad in 1998, says Telangana Police. He had limited contact with his family in India and visited the country only six times in 27 years.
Sajid, an Indian passport holder, moved to Australia in search of employment after completing his bachelor’s degree and had been living in Australia since 1998, while his son was born there.
Naveed Akram, the surviving suspect in Sunday's mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, has been charged with 59 offences, including 15 counts of murder and one of committing a terrorist act, the New South Wales police say.
