Rams, Jared Goff and Lions
Digest more
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford agreed with the assessment that the Detroit Lions' trade for Jared Goff has worked for both teams.
Goff said his time with the Rams was a long time ago. When asked if he still feels an emotional charge to facing his former team, he said, “No, not so much anymore.”
Sean McVay is happy that Jared Goff has found success in his career since he was traded from the Los Angeles Rams.
These two offenses sure know how to create big plays. According to Sam Hoppen of ESPN Bet, the Lions are fourth in explosive play rate (12.6%) and the Rams are sixth (12.1%). An explosive play is one that gains at least 15 yards, whether on the ground or through the air.
Much like the Lions' loaded array of weapons, the Rams have plenty of talent of their own throughout their roster. Over the offseason, the Rams swapped out Cooper Kupp for Davante Adams, and one of the league's most consistent receivers has been a nice addition for Matthew Stafford.
