LSU women's basketball head coach Kim Mulkey faced her alma mater over the weekend, notching another win. Here's what Mulkey said of the experience.
The Lady Techsters were a national power under legendary coaches Sonja Hogg and Leon Barmore. Hogg guided them to a pair of national championships and more than 300 wins across nine seasons, then turned the program over to Barmore, who led them to another national title and 11 30-win campaigns. Hogg and Barmore were co-head coaches from 1982-85.
With the win, LSU secured its 11th straight victory, improving its overall record to 11-0. Louisiana Tech dropped to 5-4 on the season with the loss.
Mikaylah Williams led No. 5 LSU with 19 points as the Tigers struggled for almost three quarters before pulling away for an 87-61 win against Louisiana Tech in the Compete 4 Cause Classic.
