Detroit Tigers reliever Kenley Jansen needs 24 saves to reach 500 in his 16-year MLB career – only accomplished by Mariano Rivera and Trevor Hoffman.

While Jansen was with the Dodgers, he was the go-to person. Jansen is just 24 saves away from having 500 career saves. That number might put Jansen in conversations toward a possible spot in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.

As Kenley Jansen climbs up the all-time saves list, it appears he'll be doing so for another AL team instead of with the Angels.
