The Duke men’s basketball team is adding a marquee opponent to its non-conference schedule for next season as Jon Scheyer’s program finalized a deal to play against Michigan in a neutral-site

Duke and Michigan have played three neutral-site games in the past, although not in the last 14 years. Most notably, the programs clashed in Charlotte during the third round of the 2011 men's basketball NCAA tournament, when Duke narrowly eliminated Michigan with a 73-71 win before going on to lose in the semifinal.

While the details aren't yet official, signs are pointing toward the game being played in Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena sometime in February.
