In a social media post, the Auburn Police Department reported that around 10:18 a.m., a semi tractor trailer rig made a wrong turn and became stuck on the train tracks at 29th and B streets Northwest. A southbound Amtrak train struck the stuck semi. Police said that the driver and occupant of the semi managed to get out of the truck safely.

An Amtrak train carrying 157 passengers hit a semitruck on the tracks in Auburn. A driver and the passenger escaped, and no train passengers were hurt.
